Beth Wolske
Beth is a PA Clinical Licensed Social Worker and Psychology lecturer who has taught for the CUNY system of higher education for the past 9 years. In her therapeutic private practice, she specializes in issues such as OCD, anxiety and trauma as well as positive parenting, couple/child relationship dynamics, behavioral therapy, and perinatal complexities involving pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Beth earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from West Chester University and has served in many therapeutic roles throughout her career. Her experience working with women, children, and families spans a variety of disciplines and environments. Prior to teaching she served as a Behavior Specialist for several non profit agencies in Chester County, leading the Parent-Child-Interaction-Therapy unit and helping parents form stronger and more resilient relationships with their children. She has also served as a school counselor for the New Castle County public schools, working with children from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and encouraging emotional wellness and support for local youth. She has worked in homes across Chester County providing therapy to children on the autism spectrum, and worked in Early Intervention services at The Arc of Chester County.

Anand Shah ('25)
Anand Shah is a junior at Unionville High School. He regards education as a fundamental building block and very useful when applied to large-scale problems. Anand has years of research experience working in renowned national labs. He has 5 published peer-reviewed research papers. Aside from conducting research, he is a News Editor for the Unionville Post and a National Honors Society member. Through his TEDx talk, Anand hopes to draw attention to the confusion and contrast in the current education system.

Kushal Garg ('24)
Kushal Garg is a senior at Unionville High School. Kushal is part of the Unionville Academic Team and FBLA club as well as an AMC competitor. Kushal is also an Eagle Scout, and outside of school he enjoys doing robotics. He also loves spending time with friends and family, playing video games and sports. With his TEDx speech, Kushal hopes to shed light on a new perspective of a worldwide phenomenon.

Megan Aversa, a junior at Unionville High School, is a passionate and committed student who looks to inspire others with her story of resilience. At school, she enjoys being involved in LINK, National Honor Society, UTHON and being president of the International Justice Mission. Outside of school, she has enjoyed coaching Girls on the Run and being a part of the Kennett Running Club. Although most of her classmates are unaware, she has also lived with an invisible, yet all-consuming, chronic illness for most of her life. Through TEDx, she hopes to encourage others to consider the unique struggles that others may endure.

A leader both inside and outside of school, Melissa is the president of Unionville’s ASL Club, a Chester County Dairy Ambassador, and served as a Pennsylvania 4-H State Project Ambassador. As a member of Unionville’s speech and debate team and choir program, Melissa uses her voice to share impactful messages of herself and others. Surrounded by teens who are just as driven and busy as she is, Melissa recognizes the growing pressure youth around the world face to do the exceptional. In her TEDx talk, she hopes to bring awareness to students’ struggles with achievement and share ways to help decrease our fear of being ordinary.

Aliz Uejima is a current junior at Unionville High School. She participates in a variety of activities, including playing volleyball, both for the school and for a club team outside of school, acting as a student representative in the district school board, and participating in SHOC. She also loves to travel with her family and have unique experiences in new places.
